Just watched this well after it was posted, and I found it very inspiring and encouraging that Sophia has such a strong writer-oriented vision, and encourages the idea of readers "subscribing to your consciousness".
What amazes me about Substack is the amazing people who are so willing to share their knowledge. I have been grappling with a lot of overwhelm because while it's easy to start on Substack it's a minefield when you try to get any traction. So thank you to all the lovely people who are so willing to help and share their expertise.
I’m new here on Substack and have so far been a reader, which I absolutely enjoy and love. But I’m also a writer at heart who is overthinking the process of how and what to share, and I’m currently trying to figure out how to best get started on this platform. It was very encouraging to hear Sophia say “yes” to writers who contemplate if they should share in this or that way. To just share your writing is the essential part, as I understood it. Thank you so much to both Sophia and Sarah for this valuable and inspiring Q & A!
I’m new to Substack (6 weeks) and watching this friendly, in-depth conversation helps confirm my instinct that I am in the right place. Thank you, Sarah and Sophie !
I don’t know how old this is, but I found it today and I want to say thank you so much! I joined Substack a long time ago and I love to write, but it overwhelmed and intimidated me so that I have only been a reader, not a writer so far.
Now I am hungry to put my words on here and see what happens. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place!

Ooh, I had forgotten she said that. Thank you!
WOW, this was sooooo amazing. After this... I feel like I can seriously just be my authentic self.

I love what Sophia says about "finding honesty as a writer - then you're golden"! This is exactly why I love it here so much!!
