There’s so much talk about overwhelm and burnout that it feels like it’s starting to create overwhelm and confusion. No longer! Expert guidance on how to manage notifications on Substack.
My first month on substack was pretty overwhelming because of how fast notifications piled up but now it's something I look forward to. Less overwhelming and more anticipation for the conversations I'll partake in and even get a little inspiration for my next post.
I have followed these instructions, thank you! But I still cannot turn off my phone dinging with each headline help request from this group. I desperately want to turn it off! It’s interrupting my flow of writing! :)
Bless you, sarah, for keeping us sane on substack. The most frustrating experience I have is to have gained a 1000 followers and not being able to reach any via notes. Feels like FB altogether 🤯
Are the Monthly Mastermind Cohort Calls personalized so we each get feedback on our newsletter? Or is it a time for you to share ideas about what works on Substack/what others are doing? Thanks!
Hi there! The personalized work happens in my 1-to-1s. In the Cohort, there will be an extra strategizing workshop each month and the cohort call that breaks down into Q&A, hot seat, breakout rooms where you meet and get input from other cohort members, and goal setting and tracking.
I also discovered that in the mobile app, you can set your default home screen to your inbox. It currently defaults to the Notes feed, which I find noisy and distracting for my ADHD brain. I like opening the app to my inbox and being able to choose when I engage with my Notes feed.
Is there a published schedule for the monthly mastermind sessions? I've been out of the loop for a few months.
Holy moly this was helpful, thank you!!

I believe you'll need to disable them on the app: https://support.substack.com/hc/en-us/articles/10410562682900-How-do-I-adjust-my-Chat-notifications
Checking to see if we can change that.

That was clear, concise, and helpful. Thanks Sarah.
