I’m not an author, but a singer with 8 albums- (my last 4 were self-produced) I like the idea of using my Substack to sell my backlisted albums. And it never crossed my mind to become an Amazon affiliate to make a bit more on album sales. Thank you, Sarah!
I don’t understand why your workshop, which sounds so exciting, wouldn’t work for savvy indie authors. We work really hard at marketing our books. And Substack is as open to us as to traditionally published authors, unlike some avenues open only to the latter. I’d love to attend but worry I’d waste my money if it truly isn’t of indie authors. Thanks!
1000%! And I don't mean to exclude indie authors. You all are champions. It's just that traditional publishing is my area of expertise, and I know indie authors can be very particular about the advice they receive. This would work for indie authors--no question. It's in the FAQs--apologies if that wasn't clear.
Thanks, Sarah, for taking the time to write back and clarify. You might want to tweak your FAQ, because I reread it, and it still sounds to me as though the workshop is for traditionally published authors. So thanks for the welcome. The workshop sounds fascinating. Substack is such a revolutionary tool for writers!
This is confusing for me because my website is through Wordpress. I don't see a navigation bar on my newsletter publication. Is there supposed to be one there?
I mentioned this above. I don't mean to exclude indie authors. You all are champions. Plus, we'll be talking about hybrid publishing. It's just that traditional publishing is my area of expertise, and I know indie authors can be very particular about the advice they receive. This would work for indie authors--no question. It's in the FAQs--apologies if that wasn't clear! Hope to have you, Georgia!
This sounds fabulous! Sadly, I can't afford to join you right now. I'll be looking for the magnificent snippets of it, and I'll get a photo of my book on my Substack. Thanks for the great advice.
Looking forward to the replay, Sarah, since I had to miss the live workshop on Saturday. Also: how do I access my receipt for purchasing the workshop (you know, for tax purposes)? :)
Thanks, Sarah. Is this on your Writers at Work dot com page? I can’t seem to find anything in my inbox. If it’s too much trouble, don’t worry about responding. When will the recording be available? I appreciate you taking the time for answering this today, as I know you are a super busy woman!
Question: I attended the April 5 event live, and got the link with the video recording. However, I can't figure out how to download the pdfs that are attached. How can I download those? (When I click support, the link takes me to an empty screen.) Thanks for your help!
If I'm unable to attend the April 5th live event, must I pay $185 to review it later on?
The replay is the same amount as the live class. You can submit any questions to me or the panel in advance.

It's on your homepage.
Taking Sarah's advice: Go to the bottom of this page: https://nancyhendrickson.substack.com/p/pendulums-and-magick
In action! Nancy, I love it.
I’m interested but I read in one of your other posts that it’s for traditionally published authors not self published. Is that correct?
