I think I'm the only one who could not care less for Taylor Swift. She's a powerhouse on how to market herself, but other than that, does nothing for me.
I was just with a small circle of writer friends last night, and I said that one of my main goals by the end of this year is to figure out if I’m writing for an audience or writing for myself. Well, this post certainly tipped the balance for me! I’m figuring this goal out!

When my daughter was in the hospital at Christmas, Taylor showed up and did a concert for all the kids on Christmas Eve. Her only request to the hospital CEO was, “No media.”
She spent 2 ½ hours on Christmas Eve afternoon singing, telling stories and talking individually with every child she could.
She is an inspiration in so many ways
